According to this first trailer, the iconic image of Elvis Pressley shaking hands with Richard Nixon in the Oval Office is one of the most requested images in the National Archives and this spring, the untold story behind that picture is revealed with Elvis and Nixon.  Michael Shannon plays the King of Rock and Roll, who wants to become a federal agent and use his lethal karate skills to take on communism while Nixon (Kevin Spacey) is advised that this could be a PR coup to improve his image with the young people of America.  Colin Hanks, Evan Peters, Ashley Benson, Alex Pettyfer, Tate Donovan and Johnny Knoxville co-star and it’s directed by Liza Johnson.  It doesn’t seem like there will be any earth shattering revelations or serious commentary but it does look like a ton of fun just having Spacey and Shannon bounce off each as two of the most recognizable men in history.  The movie arrives in April and you can check out the trailer below.
