  • Underworld 5 delayed until 2017: Underworld: Blood Wars was originally planned for this coming October but the fifth entry in the series has been pushed back to January 2017.  Kate Beckinsale is back as the vampire Selene up against a new powerful Lycan leader played by Tobias Menzies.
  • MoviePass offering unlimited movies: MoviePass has been around for a bit, offering you the chance to see 1 movie a day at participating theaters for $30 a month but it was limited to 2D showings.  A new plan for $100 a month would let you see unlimited IMAX, 3D and 2D showings and they are also offering a cheaper $20 plan with fewer movies available per month.
  • Tom Felton cast in The Flash Season 3: The former Draco Malfoy has been cast in The Flash Season 3 as Julian Dorn, a fellow Central City CSI who thinks there’s something Barry is hiding.
  • Pacific Rim 2 and Wreck it Ralph 2 confirmed for 2018: The sequel to Pacific Rim, directed by Stephen S. DeKnight, is arriving on February 23, 2018 while Disney Animation announced Wreck It Ralph 2 this week, which is arriving on March 9, 2018 and will send Ralph and Vanellope on an adventure across the Internet.
  • Netflix picks up Lost in Space remake: Netflix has picked up the remake of the classic sci-fi show Lost in Space for a 10 episode first season, which will probably debut in 2018.  Neil Marshall, of The Descent and Doomsday, will be directing several of the episodes but there’s not too many other details besides the fact that it will be a modern update to the story of the Robinson family.
  • Preacher renewed by AMC: AMC’s adaptation of the Garth Ennis classic comic series is getting a 13 episode second season next year, which will be three more than the current season’s 10.
  • Pan’s Labryinth getting a Criterion Collection edition: Guillermo Del Toro’s creepy masterpiece is joining the Criterion Collection, in time for the movie’s tenth anniversary.  GDT confirmed the news and said the release date was sometime this fall and this is the third movie of his that is part of the Criterion Collection, the other two being Cronos and The Devil’s Backbone.
  • Dragons enter Call of Duty: The latest DLC for Call of Duty 3, called Descent, will feature a new zombie mission called Gorod Krovi, which takes place in an alternate 1940’s Stalingrad that is under siege by both mechanical zombies and dragons.  There will also be 4 new multiplayer maps.
  • Lego Ninjago cast revealed: Jackie Chan will lead the cast of the Lego Movie spin-off Ninjago as Master Wu and will be joined by Dave Franco, Michael Pena, Abbi Jacobson, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods and Fred Armisen.  The movie is scheduled for September 2017.
  • Batman: Return to Arkham collection delayed indefinitely: Originally supposed to be out this month, the HD remasters of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City have been delayed indefinitely by WB Games, citing that they want to give studio Virtuous Games more time to work on the games.  Primary studio Rocksteady is working on Batman VR for PS VR.
  • Roland Emmerich’s next movie is Moonfall: Before possibly moving to the third ID4 movie, Roland Emmerich will direct the disaster movie Moonfall for Universal.  The movie is about the Moon falling out of orbit and heading for a collision course with the Earth and crew of misfits have to figure out some way to save the planet.
