Rise of the Planet of the Apes was one of the biggest surprises of summer 2011 and now the sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is poised to be one of the biggest blockbusters of this summer, with a prime July 11th release date and a massive expansion of the world. Four years after the Simian Flu was unwittingly unleashed on humanity, Caesar and his ape comrades are trying to build a new society in peace but the ragtag human survivors, led by Gary Oldman, are looking to take things back. Jason Clarke and Keri Russell, on the other hand, want to make peace with Caesar and have the two socities live in peace before a war breaks out that will destroy them all. Andy Serkis looks like he’s somehow improved his already great performance as Caesar and makes him seem every bit the equal to Gary Oldman. The movie is directed by Cloverfield’s Matt Reeves and has definitely moved into one of my most anticipated movies of the summer. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
