After two not so great sequels, the Terminator franchise is seemingly hoping that going balls to the wall insane will bring the franchise back around in the mash-up that is Terminator: Genisys. Starting out like the original Terminator, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) arrives back in the 80’s to find that Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) has been waiting for him and has already teamed up with the good T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), as the timeline as been drastically altered. There’s a new T-1000 (Byung-Hun Lee) targeting the group and, the big reveal this trailer, is that the machines have either corrupted or created their own version of John Connor (Jason Clarke), who seems to now be a Terminator comprised of nanobots. Hopefully pulling from Terminator and Terminator 2 and ignoring Terminator 3 and Salvation will make this a decent entry in the series and we’ll find out on July 1st when it opens, check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
