Even though no one really remembers it even came out, 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman made almost $400 million worldwide and a prequel/sequel(?) is on the way with The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Seemingly seeing how Disney made literally all the money with Frozen (although this was probably in the works before that came out), the new movie finds Emily Blunt as The Ice Queen, and the sister of the evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron). She flees her kingdom after a tragic event and spends decades in a frozen fortress, raising an army of Huntsman warriors, including Chris Hemsworth’s Eric and Jessica Chastain’s Sara, who fall in love despite it being forbidden amongst the Huntsman. The sisters join forces to try and unleash the power of the Magic Mirror to take over the world and Eric and Sara, and the seven dwarves it seems, must try and stop them. Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron were probably the best parts of Snow White and if you throw Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain in there, it seems like you can’t go wrong but it looks kind of like a generic fantasy action movie based on this first trailer. It’s out in April of next year and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
