Although it probably won’t do as well as this year’s The Jungle Book reboot, Disney is continuing their reboot run with August’s new take on Pete’s Dragon. Unlike Jungle Book, Pete’s Dragon is only loosely based on the original movie and follows Pete (Oakes Fegley), a young boy who has survived in the woods of the Pacific Northwest for six years. He’s brought back into civilization by Grace, a forest ranger who is one of the people who learns Pete’s secret to survival; he befriended a dragon named Elliott. When Elliott’s existence is revealed, he becomes the target of Karl Urban, who believes he’s dangerous. Robert Redford, Wes Bentley and Oona Laurence co-star and David Lowery, who will be doing the upcoming Peter Pan live action reboot for Disney, is directing. Check out the new full trailer below and it’s out in August.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
