Samara Updates Her Tactics in Rings (Trailer)

Since it’s been over 10 years since she last terrorized people in The Ring Too, technology has advanced and horrific ghost Samara Morgan has upgraded from VHS tapes to spreading across the web in viral videos in the upcoming third entry in the American version of Ringu, Rings.  A web community of people trying to figure out the mystery of the cursed footage has sprung up and a young woman, Julia (Matilda Lutz), finds out her boyfriend Holt (Alex Roe), has viewed the footage and is in the seven day countdown to his death.  She views the footage to take the curse and finds out from a creepy old expert, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, that she may be part of another layer of the curse, as she has a mark on her hand that translates to “Rebirth”.  It seems like Julia is almost transforming into Samara and there’s also a wider spread of the footage, like it popping up on the screens of everyone on an airplane.  F. Javier Guitterez, who previously directed the Spanish disaster movie Before the Fall, is directing and it’s out on October 28th.  Check out the trailer below.
