Jake LaMotta’s boxing career was brought to the screen in the classic Raging Bull but now more of his life story will be told in the new movie The Bronx Bull. William Forsythe takes over for DeNiro as the older LaMotta while Mojean Aria plays the younger LaMotta and the movie details his early days fighting on the streets where he killed an opponent and ended up in prison, where a priest (Ray Wise) teaches him to box. After his career that led to a world championship title, the older LaMotta struggles with life outside the ring and is also called to a Senate sub-committee meeting regarding the mob’s influence on boxing. Joe Mantegna, Tom Sizemore, Paul Sorvino, Penelope Ann Miller, Bruce Davison, Natasha Henstridge, Robert Davi and Cloris Leachman co-star and the movie is out in select theaters and VOD on January 6th. I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
