Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the best surprises of the last few years. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, it paid tribute to classic spy movies while ramping up the action to ridiculous levels and had a fantastic, fun cast, including the breakout role for Taron Egerton. Things looks just as nuts and fun in this fall’s upcoming sequel, The Golden Circle, where Eggsy (Egerton), Roxy (Sophie Cookson) and Merlin (Mark Strong) must team up with their American counterparts, Statesman, to take down an evil and secret new organization, The Golden Circle, led by Julianne Moore. Statesman is led by Jeff Bridges with Channing Tatum, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal as their top agents and also, somehow, Colin Firth is back as Kingsman Harry Hart, who seemed pretty decisively dead in the first movie. Elton John and Vinnie Jones are also here as well and it looks like it’s keeping up it’s Roger Moore era Bond aesthetic and the ridiculous, and probably way more violent than the trailer can show, action. It’s out on September 22nd and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
