Before the final battle against Thanos in May next year, the potential key to defeating him gets her film debut with Captain Marvel. Brie Larson plays Carol Danvers, a fighter pilot who loses her memory and is transformed into a Kree warrior for Starforce and one of the most powerful beings in the universe. She returns to Earth and teams up with a rookie Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and tries to uncover her past while also trying to stop a war between the Kree and the Skrulls that could destroy countless worlds, including Earth. Jude Law, Gemma Chan and Ben Mendelsohn co-star and Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou are back from Guardians and Clark Gregg is finally returning to the big screen as Phil Coulson. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct and it looks like a fun blend of the MCU’s Earth and Cosmic halves and this new trailer really seems to prove Kevin Feige’s comments that she is the most powerful hero the MCU has ever seen, taking on an entire space fleet with seemingly little effort. Captain Marvel hits on March 8th and you can check out the new trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
