Ari Aster scarred many a movie goer last year with his critically acclaimed horror movie Hereditary and he’s back this summer for more disturbing scares with Midsommar. Starring Will Poulter, Florence Pugh, Jackson Harper and Jack Reynor, the group heads to the hometown of a friend to experience a festival that only occurs once every 90 years. Things seem to go horribly awry as you probably could have guessed and there seems like some sort of pagan/demonic/*insert evil thing here* hiding behind the friendly and flowery facade. We’re getting lots of Wicker Man vibes (the original, not the Nicolas Cage cheese-fest) and based on Hereditary, this will probably be one of the most horrifying movies of the year. It’s out on August 9th and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
