Even with the biggest movie of all time this year with Avengers: Endgame, the MCU shows no signs of stopping and the 24th movie, Black Widow, is kicking off Phase 4. Directed by Cate Shortland, Scarlett Johansson is back as Natasha Romanov in a story set between Civil War and Infinity War as Nat has to face her past and reunite with old allies to take on the new deadly threat of the mercenary known as Taskmaster. The original Black Widow “family” includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and David Harbour as Red Guardian, the Russian equivalent to Captain America. William Hurt and Robert Downey Jr. will appear as well. It’s not clear how much this will really add to the overall backstory of the MCU but at the very least it looks like a cool Bond/Bourne-style spy action movie and it’s out on May 1st next summer, check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
