Ready to get confused? We have the UK trailer for a Russian/Chinese joint production that is the sequel to a Russian movie from 2018 that already came out in China last summer, The Iron Mask aka Journey to China: The Mystery of the Iron Mask, the sequel to Forbidden Kingdom aka Forbidden Empire from 2014. Jason Flemyng stars as Jonathan Green, a cartographer/adventurer who is dispatched to map the Russian Far East and ends up at The Great Wall and helps battle an evil sorceress and her dragon. Jackie Chan plays a mysterious kung-fu master who helps free a prisoner in an iron mask from the Tower of London and Arnold is the James Hook, the head of the British prison guards. Charles Dance and the late Rutger Hauer co-star as well. It seems highly likely given that all their scenes in the trailer seem to be in the same location that Arnold and Jackie are barely in this movie and the special effects look incredibly cheap and sub-par, especially compared to recent Chinese blockbusters like The Wandering Earth or similarly themed The Great Wall. It arrives in the UK (and possibly the US) on April 10th and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
