Keri Russell Returns to International Intrigue in The Diplomat (Trailer)
After a brilliant run co-starring on The Americans, Keri Russell is back in the world of international intrigue and global politics for Netflix’s The Diplomat. Russell plays Kate Wyler, the US Ambassador to the UK. When an international crisis breaks out, Wyler tries to contain the situation diplomatically so that war doesn’t break out. Complicating things is the fact that Wyler’s husband Hal (Rufus Sewell) is along for the ride and is a former diplomatic superstar turned house husband. He’s not adjusting to being out of the limelight well. David Gyasi, Rory Kinnear, Ali Ahn, Ato Essendoh, and Jon Moore co-star and the show was created by Debora Cahn, who previously worked on The West Wing and Homeland. The Diplomat hits Netflix on April 20th and you can check the trailer below.
