Timothee Chalamet is Willy Wonka in December (Trailer)
Warner Bros. is all in on Timothée Chalamet for this coming fall/winter season with both Dune Part 2 and Wonka, the latter of which has received its first trailer. Chalamet plays the younger version of Willy Wonka, clearly the Gene Wilder version and not the Johnny Depp abomination. After years of scouring the globe for exotic ingredients, Wonka returns to open up his own chocolate shop/factory but finds the confectionery business ruled by the ruthless Chocolate Cartel and sets out to prove that his sweets are the best in the world. Olivia Colman, Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Rowan Atkinson, Sally Hawkins, Jim Carter, Matt Lucas, Natasha Rothwell, and Tom Davis co-star, and Paul King, director of the beloved Paddington movies, is directing Wonka. The movie is set to be a big musical, with original songs written for the movie. Wonka opens on December 15th and you can check out the trailer below.
