Timothee Chalamet Sings and Dances to Chocolate Fame in Wonka (Trailer)
Before he became the world-famous distributor of Wonka Bars and Everlasting Gobstoppers, Willy Wonka was a young inventor and dreamer who had to take on the chocolate industry elites, as we’ll see in December when Wonka hits theaters. Timothée Chalamet plays the young Wonka, who is determined to make a name for himself in the world of candy and provide treats that everyone can enjoy, regardless of their financial situation. This ruffles the feathers of the wealthy candy makers that run the industry and Wonka has to figure out how to take them on and prove that his sweets are the best. Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Matthew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, and Olivia Coleman co-star along with Hugh Grant, who plays the Oompa-Loompa Lofty, who teams up with Wonka after being captured by the chocolatier. Paul King, the director of the beloved Paddington movies, is directing Wonka, which is set to be a full-blown musical with original songs from songwriter Neil Hannon. Wonka arrives in theaters on December 15th and you can check out the new trailer below.
