Musical Montage: Mad at Gravity “Walk Away”

Since it came out in the early 2000s, Reign of Fire was basically obligated to have some sort of rock/nu-metal on its soundtrack, and the short-lived band Mad at Gravity provided “Walk Away” (along with another song “Burn”) over the movie’s credits.  Mad at Gravity was founded in 2000 but only lasted until 2003 when lead singer J. Lynn Johnston left the group and the other members could not find a replacement singer.  While together, they toured with Creed, Filter Sevendust, and Alice in Chain’s Jerry Cantrell and put out one album Resonance.  “Walk Away” was their only single and it peaked at #38 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.  The band shot a music video to promote the single and Reign of Fire and the video features clips from the movie while the band is in an industrial setting that feels at home with the movie’s post-apocalyptic vibes.  You can check out the music video below.
