March Gets Super with Invincible and X-Men ’97 (Trailers)

March is getting a double dose of animated comic book action with Invincible Season 2 Part 2 and the long-awaited debut of X-Men ’97 on Disney+.

Invincible picks up from the brutal mid-season finale as Mark felt the full force of the Viltrumite Empire after he reunited with his father Nolan aka Omni-Man.  Mark was beaten to within an inch of his life and ordered to take his father’s place in preparing Earth for invasion while Nolan was taken prisoner.  As if that isn’t enough, back on Earth is the threat of a parasitic alien lifeform and multiverse leaping Angstrom Levy, who wants revenge on Mark for destroying his plan to absorb the knowledge of all of his multiversal variants.  Invincible returns on March 14th on Disney+.

Announced three years ago in November 2021, X-Men ’97 finally arrives on March 20th on Disney+.  Picking up from the series finale of the beloved 90s Fox animated series, the new season continues the adventures of the X-Men following the death of Professor X and their battle for good against anything that threatens Earth.  Original series voice actors Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, Adrian Hough, Christopher Britton, Alyson Court, Lawrence Bayne, and Ron Rubin all return with Ray Chase taking over as Cyclops and Matthew Waterson taking the role of Magneto (Norman Spencer and David Hemblen who played those roles respectively have both passed away since the original series ended).  Another change is that Holly Chou is now voicing Jubilee, with original actress Alyson Court voicing an alternate universe version of Jubilee, Abcissa.  Original series creators Eric and Julia Lewald consulted on the new series.
