Musical Montage: Menace II Society

Critically acclaimed when it was released in 1993, Menace II Society also had a highly successful soundtrack album.  Released the same day as the movie on May 26th, 1993, the soundtrack album reached #11 on the Billboard 200 album chart and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and would be certified gold.  Three singles were released from the album, “Streiht Up Menace” by Mc Eiht, “Trigga Gots No Heart” by Spice 1, and “Unconditional Love” by Hi-Five.  “Trigga Gots No Heart” was the lead single and performed the best, reaching #9 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.  Complex ranked the Menace II Society soundtrack album as the 9th best Hip-Hop movie soundtrack.  All three singles from the album received music videos; you can check them out below.
