The Transformers Origins Comes to Theaters with Transformers One (Trailer)

The first animated Transformers theatrical movie since 1986’s Transformers: The Movie arrives in September with Transformers One. Chris Hemsworth stars as Orion Pax, the bot who will one day become Optimus Prime while Brian Tyree Henry voices D-16, who is destined to become Megatron. Before their war turned them into mortal enemies, they were brothers working deep in the Cybertronian mines.  Joined by Bumblebee (Keegan-Michael Key) and Arcee (Scarlett Johansson), the bots decide to explore the surface of Cybertron and encounter Alpha Trion (Laurence Fishburne), who grants the quartet the power to transform into alternate forms.  Jon Hamm and Steve Buscemi co-star and the movie was directed by Josh Cooley, who previously worked on the screenplays for Toy Story 4 and Inside Out.  The movie seems to have a shockingly comedic tone and is seemingly leaning to appeal to a younger audience than previous media that tackled the early days of Transformers, like the Cybertron video game series.  Transformers One is hitting theaters on September 20th and you can check out the trailer below.
