Preview of The Great Philadelphia Comic Con 2019

What happens when you combine actors, artists, musicians and comic books under one roof in the greater Philadelphia area? You get the Great Philadelphia Comic Con, a show committed to uniting all circles of geeky fandom for an experience for all to enjoy. This year the Great Philadelphia Comic Con is set for April 12th – 14th, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. The Great Philadelphia Comic Con is jammed pack with activities over three days with vendors and an artist alley, panels and workshops, celebrity photos and sightings, and many special events.

Since 2015, the Great Philadelphia Comic Con has been bringing a family friendly comic event that works local communities and national talent. One of the highlights of the show is the amazing line up of special guest that hail from tv, film and pop culture. This year has a diverse set of talent but one particular guest has us stunned and excited to see: Alice Cooper.

The Godfather of Shock Rock, Alice Cooper is making an appearance. The rocker has been a major influence on generations of musicians and films. Sometimes wearing his gothic black makeup, Alice Cooper has been an icon away from the music scene. Appearing in movies such as Prince of Darkness and Waynes World, and starring in the B-movie Monster Dog.

We got a taste of the outlaw life this past October as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2. Riding in Dutch Van der Linde crew, we fought rival gangs, rob banks and escaped the law. This April, we excited to meet the people behind the voices of one of the best westerns games to be created.

These actors will be signing autographs and taking photo ops through the day. We’ll try to hold back our urge to yell at Peter Blomquist for enraging us in his performance of Micah Bell. Bell should’ve been forced to chop wood and carry water buckets all day at Dutch’s campsite if we had our way.

In a recent episode of our podcast, we were just talking about Nick Frost’s amazing performance in Into the Badlands. It’s Luckily, we might get the chance to ask  Nick what his experience was like when we see him at the show.

Nick Frost has starred in the Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, Attack the Block, The Adventures of Titin, most recently in the WWE biopic Fighting with My Family. Frost is a hilarious actor that can not only deliver jokes but can kick butt while looking cool.

We are just scraping the surface of how many fun and talented people are slotted for this show this month, so here’s just a quick overlook on all the people scheduled as of now.

Tickets for the Great Philadelphia Comic Con can be found here, and start at different packages. Separate Photo ops can be found here and require admission tickets.
