The last big release day for DVD and Blu-Rays for 2018 has Venom, The Predator, The House With A Clock in its Walls and more.
Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish topped the box office with their comedy Night School while Smallfoot and Hell Fest performed to expectations and The Nun became the highest grossing movie worldwide for The Conjuring franchise.
Eli Roth’s family-friendly spookfest The House With a Clock In Its Walls was the only bright spot in one of the worst performing weekends at the box office in 2018, taking #1 as the three other new releases failed spectacularly.
The Predator won a Pyrrhic victory at the box office over the weekend, taking #1 but also having the worst opening ever for a movie in over 4,000 theaters, taking that spot away from Tom Cruise’s The Mummy.
The Predator arrives in theaters this weekend alongside a Paul Feig directed thriller, the sequel to Unbroken and a “based on a true story” drug/crime story starring Matthew McConaughey.
Transitioning from the summer to fall, September has a few blockbusters like The Predator but also the start of horror season with The Nun and Hell Fest, Jennifer Garner going Punisher in Peppermint and more.
