Battle at the Box Office 10/11

The Social Network managed to stay in first place over the weekend, dropping only 30% and making another $15.5 million.  Life As We Know It took the second place spot with $14.5 million while Secretariat took third with $12.6 million.  Legend of the Guardians dropped down to fourth while the third new release, My Soul to Take, came in at fifth place with $6.8 million.  My Soul to Take gets the dubious honor of having the worst 3D opening ever.  There was a little jostling at the bottom of the list but everything pretty much moved down one or two spots with the exception of Let Me In, which, despite great reviews, fell off of the top ten in only it’s second week.  It fell from eighth to eleventh.  It’s Kind of a Funny Story had a strong limited opening, making just over $2 million in 742 theaters.  Jackass 3D and Red come out next weekend and they both could give The Social Network a run for it’s money.
