Netflix Doubles Down on Stephen King with 1922 (Trailer)

We are in a Stephen King resurgence recently, with IT dominating the box office, a secretive Hulu show on the way and Netflix has doubled down with two upcoming King adaptations, the previously revealed Gerald’s Game and now 1922, a short from King’s anthology Full Dark, No Stars.  Tom Jane stars as Wilfred James, a farmer in the titular year whose wife, Arletta (Molly Parker) wants to sell her inherited land to a pig farm/slaughterhouse, which would end Wilfred’s farming as he would be forced to sell his land as well.  Roping in their son Henry (Dylan Schmid), Wilfred murders his wife and takes over both plots of land but Arletta seems to return from the dead and terrorizes Wilfred with, among other things, rats.  Neal McDonough, Brian D’Arcy James and Kaitlyn Bernard co-star and the movie is written and directed by Zak Hilditch and it arrives on Netflix on October 20th.  Check out the trailer below.
