Up to Speed: My Adventures with Superman Season 2
While we wait to see what James Gunn has in store for Superman next year, Adult Swim/Toonami has already delivered an extremely fun and fresh take on the Man of Steel with My Adventures with Superman, which returns this Sunday with Season 2. Starring Jack Quaid as Clark Kent/Superman, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen, the show follows the central trio as they arrive at the Daily Planet as interns while Clark begins to protect Metropolis as Superman. The show puts some interesting spins on the lore, most notably with Clark not knowing about Krypton or how or why his powers work. The government, including Task Force X, knows more about Superman’s origins than he knows himself. Season 2 is introducing their version of Lex Luthor, along with other villains like Brainiac and Atomic Skull. Adult Swim has put out a full 30-minute recap of Season 1 if you need to get refreshed or don’t have time to watch before Season 2 starts, and you can check it out below.
