Everything Action Theater: The Fall Guy (1981)
To prepare for this weekend’s Ryan Gosling/Emily Blunt reboot (and the new Everything Actioncast), you can watch the first episode of The Fall Guy for the latest Everything Action Theater. Lee Majors starred as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter, using his knowledge of stunts and his trusty pick-up truck to take down various criminals. Colt was joined by his cousin (and stuntman in training) Howie Munson (Douglas Barr) and fellow stunt performer Jody Banks (Heather Thomas). The show ran for 5 seasons on ABC from 1981 to 1986 and was a popular series, consistently drawing in solid ratings for the first four seasons and ranking in the top 30 shows in Nielsen’s ratings, frequently slipping into the top 20. The show has video games, board games, a comic strip, and toys. Only the first two seasons were released on DVD; currently, only the first season is available to purchase on Apple or Amazon.
