Given the punk vibes of the late 80s/early 90s skateboarding scene, you would probably expect the main song from 1989’s Gleaming the Cube to be slightly harder edge than “Brother to Brother” by Billy Burnette but that’s what we got. Burnette was a solo artist and songwriter who worked with artists like Eddy Raven, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers, and more along with releasing his own albums. “Brother to Brother” appeared on his album of the same name along with appearing in Gleaming the Cube. Burnette himself appeared in several films including Carnosaur 3, Casper Meets Wendy and Addams Family Values. In 1987, he also joined Fleetwood Mac after the departure of Lindsay Buckingham and was with the group until 1995 when the band went on hiatus. There’s, unfortunately, no official music video for “Brother to Brother” but you can check out the song below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
