Thor: Ragnarok took the top spot at the box office for the second weekend in a row while Murder on the Orient Express and Daddy’s Home 2 were surprisingly strong newcomers.
The third and final MCU movie of 2017, Thor: Ragnarok is easily the best movie yet for the God of Thunder and one of the best MCU movies overall as Thor goes on an action packed, wacky cosmic adventure with the Hulk to stop Asgard from being destroyed by Hela, Goddess of Death.
Topping Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnorak became the 7th highest opening MCU movie ever and set a new November record in China as well while A Bad Moms Christmas tried to counter-program and Jigsaw and Boo 2! both suffered in the first post-Halloween weekend.
After being MIA since Age of Ultron, Thor and Hulk are back and have to team up for an intergalactic mission to stop Hela, the Norse goddess of death, from destroying Asgard and unleashing Ragnorak aka the end of the world.
Thor loses Mjolnir and has to journey into space to find some way to stop Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying Asgard but he gets waylaid and ends up in a gladiator arena against his old buddy…the Incredible Hulk, in November’s Thor: Ragnorak.
